Do you want to hire a contractor you can trust?
Someone who is fully engaged with your project and is ready and willing to help you take it from start to finish?
If so, you’ve come to the right place.

The Other Guys
From the time I was young...From the time I was young it has been impressed upon me that honesty and hard work are worth their weight in gold.
During my many years in the service industry I’ve noticed that most of my competitors don’t have a clue what being reliable and hardworking means.
Time and again my customers tell me stories of the “last guy” they hired.
-The guy who quit early because things had gotten too complicated and they were eager to get to their next job.
-Or the one who took the job not actually knowing how to complete it, and didn’t even care enough to figure it out.
-Or the one who smoked and cussed, talked on the phone most of the day, and never came back to finish the job after receiving partial payment.
How I'm Different
When you hire me...When you hire me you get someone who will:
-Respect your time and money by showing up on time, working hard, and respecting your personal space.
-Give you peace of mind knowing that your project is done right
-Save you time and money through thorough communication so that you get what you want the first time around.
-See your project through to completion regardless of how tedious or messy it gets.
-Always return your phone calls, answer your questions, and come back to fix anything that you wanted done differently.
In a Nutshell
I love what I do...love what I do, I do it well, and I look forward to working with you to give you results that you love. I am not your average contractor: I do what I say I will do, when I say I will do it, and I see my work through to completion. If you’d like to see your home projects completed without worrying about the integrity or qualifications of the person you’re hiring, please contact me today.
My Story
Before starting my construction business...Before starting my construction business I worked in a myriad of fields as diverse as spray foam insulation, new residential construction, complete restoration, commercial construction, beekeeping, mining, building and grounds maintenance, ranching and dairying, tree care, and even drove school busses for a little while.
I’ve tried a lot of things, but nothing has worked quite as well, or been quite as enjoyable, as building.
It allows me the daily pleasure of helping other people live better lives.
I get to bring fresh life into old homes, and turn my customers dreams into realities.
It allows my family to live a better life and turn our dreams into realities.
Before going into business for myself I found that regardless of what industry I worked in most of my time was spent away from my family, making just enough money to pay the bills but nothing more.
Since going into business for myself I have been blessed to experience the immensely rewarding pleasure of providing my customers with an excellent value and meeting their needs, while also providing well for my family and being able to afford to actually spend time with them.
Thank you
for taking the time to learn a bit about me and why I do what it do. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Gabriel Duke
EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION
I know that when you ask me to come to your home you are likely rearranging your schedule to accommodate me. I promise to show up on time or communicate with you in the event that unforeseen circumstances prevent me from being able to.
In my own experience, service people who have made a scheduling mistake or been delayed often simply fail to show up: No phone call… no text… nothing. Not here! I know that your time is valuable and that you have other things to do. I strive to make every effort to communicate accurately and promptly with you so that your life and schedule can stay on track.
And it doesn’t stop there… you can count on me to continue to communicate accurately, honestly, and concisely for the duration of your project. I appreciate and expect good communication from service people I hire, and I offer nothing less to you.
FAMILY FRIENDLY
When I say that I am a family friendly construction company I simply mean that I won’t swear, smoke, or play music while working on your home.
Whether you are a family or an individual I recognize that what happens in the environment of your home is important to you, and I commit to maintaining a small footprint in that respect.
My own family has had service people in our home numerous times and always appreciate those who are conscientious of our personal space and our ongoing lives. I strive to be conscientious of yours.
CLEAN JOB SITES
In the construction industry it is not a given that any contractor you hire will be neat, clean, and respectful of your property and personal living space. Here at Dukes Building I promise to make every effort to keep the jobsite (your home!) neat and clean.
Having work done on your house is enough of a disruption to your life… I work hard to make it as non-invasive as possible by containing dust and debris, removing all job-generated waste, and keeping equipment and materials tidy while the job is in progress.
Rest easy knowing that your home is in the good hands of someone who will takes the cleanliness and tidiness of your living space as seriously as if it were my own.
ECO-FRIENDLY
I am committed to doing everything I can to reduce negative physical impacts to the earth we all share. From driving higher gas mileage vehicles, to choosing job materials with lower waste footprints, to recycling as many materials as I can, I am committed to doing everything possible to be ecologically and environmentally responsible. I believe we were created to tend to and care for the earth on which we live, and to care for the other people who live here with us. I take those responsibilities seriously. You can expect high quality work that is based on those beliefs.
Long-range thinking is a focus of my projects. While doing something the right way is often more time consuming and involved, it typically pays off in the long run. Thinking beyond the next few years allows me to make decisions that are better for your future and the earth’s future.
Non-toxic and environmentally friendly material usage on our projects is important to me. When possible, I use and recommend products with low toxicity, both for your health and safety as you continue to live in the house, for my health and safety as I apply the products, and for the sake of the atmosphere into which chemical fumes are ultimately released.
Locally sourcing materials is important to me when possible and appropriate.
I am willing and able to use recycled / up-cycled materials.
